52 Week Money Challenge: February Report

Two months has passed since I started the challenge and this has really become exciting. Simply imagine I was able to calculate as early as now how much I was able to save in the process. For those who don’t know what this challenge is, better click the 52 Week Money Challenge and 52 Week Money Challenge Version 2.

This report was supposed to be given last week however I still got a pending one with regards to the trials and tips of the challenge. My apologies if this is a week late but nonetheless never late than never. Again I am persuading fellow challengers to tag me with their related photos or simply send me a message or two about it. I would love to see and hear your experience.

Today, I have managed to save up 8,900 already. I have yet to deposit 550 for the week. I know I am so advanced yet I want to finish the challenge as early as I can. What I did was to adopt a future week during my payday so I can be able to save up and also to make the load lighter as the challenge progress. This also guarantees that I can be able to save up for the larger amounts easily since the current amounts to put up are still low.

As stated in my previous report, I deposited the money in my savings account so it can earn even a little interest in the process. I am so excited to finish it up as early as I can. But we shall take things slow for now.
For those who accepted this challenge, we are now in the 11th week! Again, save the amount first before spending it or you won’t have anything to save for the week. If ever a big chunk of money comes your way, try the paying it forward mechanism so the savings would be faster and lighter.

I strongly recommend you do the challenge in whatever increments you can carry. Look past the money that you can get in the process, it is more on gaining that fruitful habit of savings. Good luck to us who are taking the challenge. Keep it up!

P.S. To those doing the 52 Week Money Challenge and 52 Week Money Challenge Version 2, it is Week 11 already! Did you deposit the next amount yet?
