Angat Pilipinas Coalition for Financial Literacy and its volunteers launch the very first Angat Pilipinas Awards Night next year! ANGAT PILIPINAS is a national coalition of personal finance heroes dedicated to championing the financial literacy of the Filipino children and the youth providing advocacy, research, standards and educational resources. ANGAT PILIPINAS aims to prepare the Filipino youth to become successful financial decision-makers. It envisions a future where personal finance is included in the education of all Filipino students. ANGAT PILIPINAS provides the Filipino bayanihan needed to ensure this education.

ANGAT PILIPINAS is a coalition of personal finance advocates, educators, accountants, auditors, bloggers, lawyers, bankers, brokers, columnists, investors, entrepreneurs, forums, organizations, which share a commitment to the financial education of the Filipino youth. Through the spirit of the Filipino bayanihan, more resources and expertise are available to achieve this dream. And I can say I am a proud volunteer and member of this.

With our continuous aim of promoting financial literacy throughout the country and the world, it would be wise to recognize as well the efforts of individuals and also organizations that have been pushing the same mission as ours. Hence, the Angat Pilipinas Awards Night would be a good venue to recognize them. In here, we focus to varied financial institutions, banks, government units, NGO’s, personal finance bloggers, mentors, coaches, advisors, social media groups, authors, teachers, print and broadcast media.

We are proud to say that the Angat Pilipinas Awards is the first and only personal finance awarding event in the country. This will be set on April 2015.

  1. Usually women of ethnic diversity especially African American women suffer in silence or try to pray it off. Also, as an African American woman, you are taught and browbeat into not "telling your business to outside folk." My questions to those who are suffering in silence and distrustful to others
