No cash gift? No Christmas bonus? No extra money this coming holiday in order to buy gifts for you and your loved ones? Looking for the best gift idea? Fret not my friend. We have practical solutions for you.

December is the time to give gifts and more so exchange some. However, with the limited money that we have, it would be nearly impossible to buy gifts for everyone. Yet, our generous spirit can’t be crushed and we are always in the mood to give gifts regardless of our financial state.

Yet, you don’t need to break your bank just to give gifts this Christmas. Even if you haven’t saved up earlier for this expense, you don’t need to worry as there are still practical gift suggestions you can do without spending a peso.

Here are the three suggestions.

Suggestion 1: Your gifts. The process of regifting is one touchy subject. We often don’t want to give the gifts that were given to us. After all it was a gift in the first place. However, if it is just accumulating dust in our house without it being put to good use, it would be wise to give it to someone who might use it. After all, it was the intention of the giver that you use his or her gift. Hence, if you have no budget for gifts this holiday, it would be practical to give those gifts that were not used at all.  Just to be on the safe side, make sure that you give the gift to another circle of friends or indirectly not related to the giver.

Suggestion 2: Your items. There’s always that tendency that we have old items that still looks new and we have never worn before. You might want to revisit your closet and look out some of your clothes that still have their tags on. If you think you will not used those items at all, it would be ideal to give it to family and friends who might have better use of it. Just don’t give your personal items that have traces of use. Even if it is worn once, guarantee that the item is clean and doesn’t look old. You can even list some of your personal items you would want given. Then share this list to your friends and let them choose the things they would want to have. And voila, you got a gift right there.

Suggestion 3: Your time. The best gift that you can give that is also practical would be the gift of time and attention. The holiday is after all for you to spend more time with your family and friends. No wonder the children are on vacation and some businesses and companies will give more breaks to their employees. This is the perfect time to reconnect with your family members. This is more worthwhile than spending your money to buy gifts that are but temporary. At least with this, you will be creating a lasting memory with your family and friends.

Truly, the most wonderful time of the year is getting near. Oftentimes, individuals are breaking their banks in order to provide gifts and finding the best Christmas gift idea. While there is nothing wrong with spending for this, it would be wise to know on how much to spend on your gifts. More so, make sure that the amount will not go overboard with your budget to the point that you will incur debts and overspend. These three practical suggestions can help you save a lot.
