With Manny bringing yet another victory to his name and to the country, there is no doubt that as a Filipino we are proud. In spite of his loss from few years’ Mayweather fight, he has proven that he is still legend. And he still got what it takes to be called indeed the People’s Champ.

Truth be told, I haven’t watch the fight. But seeing the almost real time feeds on my social media made me cringe for the updates. Nevertheless, it was literally heart warming that Manny yet again has won.

In a typical office setting, we tend to know our officemates better. Even more, we are inclined with their activities even outside the office. We added each other in social media and can’t help but notice that there are indeed some officemates whom we think is living the life. Not to mention, celebrities we follow in varied platforms that seems to have everything.

We always have that person that we look up to. And we cannot deny the fact that sometimes we get jealous of the good things coming their way. Why can they buy those expensive things and why can’t we? Why is it very easy for them to travel and go to the beach while you are swamped with work in the office? Is life really this unfair?

Last month, I turned a year younger. I will not tell you exactly how young I am however trust me when I say that I am very very young. But, fret no more Rhea, age is just a number. It is all in the mind and in the height. Hey, I can still pass with an SP fare. Hurray!

With so many things going on with my life right now like getting married, work and my doctorate, sometimes you just feel frustrated and down. But when you reach another age and be in the present and living in the moment, you can’t help but look back and realize that you are still lucky. There are many things that you are actually thankful for.

It is the first day of April and I am sure everyone knows what that means. It is April Fool’s Day. I am sure that whatever your friends are posting on Facebook and tweeting on Twitter, you wouldn’t believe it since again, it is April Fool’s Day.

Yet oftentimes, if not all the times, we fall prey to our own financial foolishness. Worst case, we decide to believe it rather than ignore it. These are the statements we often use to convince ourselves to spend aimlessly. And we embrace it not once but many times.
